People win bids, not companies

When bids are won or lost by fine margins, a motivated and unified team that shares a common goal will always perform better than a dysfunctional team.

So how can we get this right?

One technique that’s highly effective is Team Charters. They’re used to agree the team’s goals, how it’s going to behave, and how it’ll work together to achieve them. Defining these things from the outset brings a team together and sets the boundaries of what it will and won’t tolerate.

They can evolve as you progress through the bid, and you’ll find that the team naturally adopts them and uses them to re-focus when it’s being challenged.

If you like the sound of them and want to give them a try, then we’ve made our template free for you to download. All that’s left for you to do is fill it in and use it.
